To ensure the best results from your waxing treatment and minimize any risk of irritation or complications, please follow these aftercare guidelines carefully:
Immediately After Waxing (First 24–48 Hours) -
Your skin is more sensitive during this time. Avoid the following:
❌ Hot showers or baths (use lukewarm water instead)
❌ Saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs
❌ Sun exposure or tanning beds (including spray tans)
❌ Heavy exercise or sweating
❌ Touching or scratching the treated area
❌ Perfumed lotions, deodorants, or alcohol-based products on the waxed area
❌ Tight clothing that may cause friction or ingrown hairs
To Soothe the Skin -
✅ Apply a cool compress if redness or sensitivity occurs.
✅ Use an after-wax lotion or aloe vera gel to soothe and hydrate the skin.
✅ If needed, take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen to reduce discomfort.
Ongoing Homecare (2–7 Days Post-Wax) -
🧴 Moisturize daily to keep skin supple and reduce the risk of ingrown hairs.
🧼 Avoid exfoliation for at least 48 hours, then begin gentle exfoliation 2–3 times per week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
🚿 Use a fragrance-free body wash to avoid irritation.
👖 Wear loose-fitting clothing while the skin is still sensitive.
Ingrown Hair Prevention -
Use an exfoliating glove, scrub, or gentle chemical exfoliant (like salicylic acid or glycolic acid) a few days after waxing.
Apply a dedicated ingrown hair serum or treatment if prone to bumps or irritation.
When to Book Your Next Appointment -
Hair typically needs to be at least 1cm (about the length of a grain of rice) for effective waxing.
Rebook every 4–6 weeks for the best long-term results and reduced discomfort.
